Tokyo 2020 provided basic policies related to Brand Protection in the chapter 13 of the Venue Operating Principles.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width="1/12"][vc_single_image image="12999" img_size="full"][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner css=".vc_custom_1497619878503{padding-top: 20px !important;padding-bottom: 20px !important;}"][vc_column_inner width="11/12"][vc_column_text 0=""]Prior to competition days, BRP will conduct ‘Clean Venue Walkthroughs’ with the IOC. In Rio 2016 this was held 7 days out from competition. The date for the Clean Venue Walkthrough should be updated here when available.

On competition days, BRP will arrive at the venue one hour prior to the opening of spectator gates to conduct a further walkthrough inspection to identify and resolve any brand infractions and will remain on site during ON HOURS and PEAK HOURS.

In addition to the above-mentioned activities, all other FAs (specifically SEC, EVS and VEM) should be responsible to identify and respond to brand protection infractions. Sport will also enforce the IOC’s Uniform and Equipment Guidelines for athletes and officials and Advertising and Propaganda guidelines (Rule 50) in cooperation with the IGF.

The OCOG also produces guidelines for brand protection - an example from Rio2016 can be found here: Branding Protection Guide for Sport Organizations.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width="1/12"][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner css=".vc_custom_1497619886824{padding-top: 20px !important;padding-bottom: 20px !important;}"][vc_column_inner width="11/12"][et_heading heading="IOC Rule 50 Guidelines " heading_size="h3" heading_align="align-left" heading_style="none_heading_style" heading_color="#b39758" heading_line_color="#b39758" el_class="title-brd"][/et_heading][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width="1/12"][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner css=".vc_custom_1497619878503{padding-top: 20px !important;padding-bottom: 20px !important;}"][vc_column_inner width="11/12"][vc_column_text 0=""]The IOC issues the Guidelines regarding Authorised Identifications for each Games edition.
