Hails from a sporting family. His uncle, Goran Lingmerth, was a kicker for the Cleveland Browns in the National Football League during the 1980s. Has two younger brothers who play hockey and one sister who plays soccer. Born in Sweden, he went to college at the University of Arkansas before turning professional in 2010 and concentrating on a career in the United States. Played on the Web.com Tour, winning his first title in 2012 before graduating to the US PGA Tour with mixed success until beating Justin Rose in a play-off for the 2015 Memorial Tournament in Ohio.
