It is optional for GwD to apply for a pass. In an increasing number of countries, pass holders are able to use their pass for cart usage, entry into official G4D tournaments, use of the 'Modified Rules of Golf for Players with Disabilities' and the opportunity to earn ranking points on the World Ranking for Golfers with Disability (WR4GD).
The Access Pass is the starting point which acknowledges that the golfer has a recognised disability. The WR4GD ranks the top golfers with disability on the basis of their average performance in Counting Events over a rolling cycle of the previous 104 weeks.
The WR4GD Pass provides players with the opportunity to earn World Ranking points for their performances in officially approved WR4GD events.
We aim to encourage golf to be inclusive and to promote G4D at every level. EDGA (formally the European Disabled Golf Association) works closely with the IGF on the provision of G4D. To participate in an EDGA badged event, a WR4GD or a non-ranked Access Pass will be required. These passes are administered and issued by the EDGA medical team.
