
Thailand’s Phachara Khongwatmai withdraws from Paris Olympics with back injury
Team Thailand’s Phachara Khongwatmai withdrew from the Olympic men’s golf competition during Sunday’s final round due to a back injury. The 29-year-old shot 70-75-74 in the first three rounds at Le Golf National and was even par on the day before he withdrew after the 11th hole.
“Team Thailand’s Phachara Khongwatmai has withdrawn due to a back injury during the fourth round of the men's Olympic golf competition,” the International Golf Federation said via a statement.
Team Great Britain’s Matt Fitzpatrick withdrew after Saturday’s third round with a thumb injury.
