Golf de Saly will host golf competitions during the 4th Summer YOG in Dakar, Senegal

Dakar 2026

Event Information

In July 2020, the IOC and the Senegal National Olympic Committee took the decision to postpone the 4th Summer Youth Olympic Games, scheduled to take place in Dakar, Senegal, in 2022, until 2026. This decision will allow the Olympic Movement to better manage the operational challenges resulting from the postponement of the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. The 2026 Youth Olympic Games will remain in Senegal and will be the first Olympic event ever to be organised in Africa.

Proposed Event Programme

We anticipate that the same event programme and athlete quota from Buenos Aires 2018 will be maintained.

  • Men's Individual Stroke play
  • Women's Individual Stroke play
  • Mixed (same NOC) Team event (1 female, 1 male)

It is also expected that the Qualification System will be the same as that used for Nanjing 2014 and Buenos Aires 2018. However, the IOC will no longer permit combined NOC teams for the mixed team event.

Once confirmed by the IOC Executive Board, the Qualification System will be available here.

Venue

Competitions will take place at the Golf de Sally golf course, 58km from the Youth Olympic Village.
