The IGF risk register (provided in electronic version, as an attachment to the Venue Operations Plan), is structured as a matrix, defining for each risk the following information:

  • Risk ID
  • Risk name
  • Impact (description)

  • Risk rating:  the Overall Risk rating is the product of the Probability of Occurring and the Severity of Impact ratings. The following guide provides an overview of the rating scales

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text 0=""]

Value Probability of Occurring Severity of Impact Existing Controls
1 Very Unlikely Minimal Non-existent
2 Unlikely Minor Weak
3 Possible Significant Adequate
4 Likely Major Robust
5 Almost Certain Massive Excessive

  • Existing Controls and Risk Mitigation Measures
  • Control rating
  • Risk Tolerance / Acceptance. Four options are available:
    • A: Cannot live with this risk; need to develop new operating plans to avoid it altogether; do not do the action which would trigger this risk.
      • M: Risk is tolerable; existing controls are adequate or better; risk tolerance is high – only monitoring of this risk is required
      • R: reduce. Risk is tolerable but existing controls are insufficient; additional treatment (mitigation) of the risk is required.
      • T: Transfer. Risk is tolerable but threat is transferred by shifting the risk to another party (eg. Via contracts or insurance);
  • Additional Risk Mitigation Recommendations
  • Future Risk Rating (Out of 25)
  • Target Completion Date
