The International Golf Federation (IGF) (We) take the privacy of our users seriously. We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our users while providing a personalised service. This policy explains our data processing practices and only applies to the website at www.igfgolf.org (the Site).

International Transfer

Information collected

The main reason the IGF collects information is to provide and improve the IGF Digital Platforms, Services, or IGF Content, their features, to administer Your membership, and to enable Users to enjoy and easily navigate the IGF Digital Platforms.

We may collect the following personal and non-personal information from you in connection with the Site:

  • we collect personal information from you if you sign up to receive our newsletter;
  • we collect personal information about people who provide feedback in relation to the Site;

We may require You to provide verification of Your identity and to pay an administration fee to provide a copy of the information we hold.

We will accommodate Your request for deletion, if We do not have any legal obligation to retain the record.


If any part of the IGF Digital Platforms link to other websites, those websites do not operate under this Privacy Policy. If You choose to visit an advertiser or click on another third party link, You will be directed to that third party’s website. We do not exercise control over third party websites and have no control over the contents of those sites or resources, and accept no responsibility for them or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them. Our policy towards children

We do not on purpose collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If a parent or legal guardian becomes aware that his or her child under 13, or ward under 13, has provided Us with personal information without their consent, he or she should delete the account (refer to: Updating/deleting Your information). If We become aware that a child under 13 has provided Us with personal information without such consent, We will delete such information from Our files.

Jurisdiction and applicable law

This Privacy Policy and all matters arising out of or related to this Privacy Policy shall be governed by the substantive laws of Switzerland, without regards to conflicts of laws and principles thereof.

Any controversy, claim or dispute between You and IGF arising out of or relating to this Privacy Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Lausanne, Switzerland, and each party hereby irrevocably consents to the jurisdiction and venue of such Court.
