Lausanne, Switzerland, Tuesday, 05 Augst 2025 – The International Golf Federation (IGF) announces the specific anti-doping Webinars ahead of the 2025 World Amateur Team Championships.
As part of its ongoing commitment to clean sport, the International Golf Federation (IGF) is proud to unveil two dedicated webinars in the lead-up to the World Amateur Team Championships (WATC) 2025. These sessions are designed to equip athletes, coaches, and support personnel with essential knowledge to navigate anti-doping regulations and uphold the integrity of golf.
IGF Sport-Specific Anti-Doping Webinars
Webinar No. 1 -Tuesday, 26 August 2025- 14:00-15:00 CEST
For Coaches and Agents
Content Overview:
This session will provide a comprehensive overview of the anti-doping testing process, with a focus on the roles and responsibilities of coaches and agents in supporting clean sport. Topics include:
- How testing is conducted in and out of competition
- Athlete whereabouts and filing obligations
- The role of support personnel in ensuring compliance
Webinar No. 2 -Tuesday, 2 September 2025 - 14:00-15:00 CEST
For Athletes and Athlete Support Personnel
Content Overview:
Tailored for athletes and their teams, this webinar will cover the fundamentals of anti-doping, including:
- The testing process and what to expect during doping control
- The Prohibited List: how to check substances and methods
- Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs): when and how to apply
- Risks associated with medications and supplements
- Real-life scenarios to help athletes prepare for any situation
These webinars are part of the IGF’s broader strategy to foster a culture of integrity and accountability in golf. They are free to attend and open to all members of the golf community.
In support of these educational efforts, the IGF has also released an updated version of its Anti-Doping Handbook, now available for download on the IGF website. The handbook serves as a practical guide for athletes and support personnel, offering clear explanations of anti-doping rules, procedures, and best practices.
