LOS ANGELES 2028

The Games of the XXXIV Olympiad, commonly known as Los Angeles 2028 or LA 2028 are scheduled to take place from 14 - 30 July 2028, in Los Angeles, California, United States. It will be the first Summer Games to be held in the US since the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia.

Los Angeles was elected as host city for the 2028 Summer Olympics at the 131st IOC Session in Lima, Peru on September 13, 2017.

Golf competitions will be held at The Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades home to the PGA TOUR’s annual event for 60 editions to date (1929-30, 1941, 1945-53, 1973-82, 1984-1997, 1999-2024). Other notable events at Riviera include the 1948 U.S. Open, the 1983 and 1995 PGA Championships, the 2017 U.S. Amateur and the 2026 U.S. Women’s Open.

This will be the third time that Los Angeles has hosted the Summer Olympics, making it the first American city and the third worldwide, after London (1908, 1948, and 2012) and Paris (1900, 1924, and 2024), to host the Games three times.
