What are IGF Covered Competitions?

IGF Covered Competitions are those tournaments and events recognised by the International Golf Federation under which athlete classification operates — from world-level amateur and professional championships to officially sanctioned IGF competitions. As part of these events, all participating athletes who meet the eligibility requirements must undergo classification in accordance with IGF rules and international para-sport standards. Classification at Covered Competitions ensures that each athlete’s impairment is assessed fairly and that Sport Class assignments are consistent, transparent, and aligned with the principles of inclusion and fair play set out by IGF and the International Paralympic Committee (IPC).
